Brainstorming

Initial ideas
After the brainstorming process, we agreed on our idea of a shell watch which combined the rough material (shape and feel of a shell) with the seaside, a vintage flair (the fact that it is a pocket-watch), and the use by a single person. As a special feature, instead of a picture frame, the watch provides a small screen to video call a person. Also, it is waterproof.

Feedback
We received mostly positive feedback for our product concept. The idea we decided to include in the further process is the following:
“In order to really provide a unique feature for the product – except for the pretty exterior – it should only be possible to “call” one single person with the watch. This way, he special connection between the caller and their person is emphasised and it forms a clearer distinction between the product and a regular smartphone. However, the person on dial can be changed as desired.”
